Welcome to the Darker Skies Blog

Darker Skies was launched in August 2009 and could be described as a more personal and informal photoblog.

Darker Skies was originally established to cover those darker, dramatic styles of colour and monochrome photography that I love so much.

However, over the years the site has gradually taken on a role of its own as a photo scrapbook, mobile blogging platform and photoblog.

My photography podcast also has its main links page based on this site.

Low clouds rolls over the fields and mountains in Stirlingshire in May. This was the view i got each day from the holiday cottage. In the distance are the hills and mountains of the Trossachs on the edge of the Highlands. Just watching the clouds and weather sweep across the mountains felt great. A simple pleasure.
